“I mean, I don’t know how the world broke. And I don’t know if there’s a God who can help us fix it. But the fact that the world is broken - I absolutely believe that. Just look around us. Every minute - every single second - there are a million things you could be thinking about. Our world - don’t you just feel we’re becoming more fragmented? I used to think that when I got older, the world would make so much more sense. But you know what? The older I get, the more confusing it is to me. The more complicated it is. Harder. You’d think we’d be getting better at it. But there’s just more and more chaos. The pieces - they’re everywhere. And nobody knows what to do about it. I find myself grasping, Nick. You know that feeling? That feeling when you just want the right thing to fall into the right place, not only because it’s right, but because it would mean that such a thing is still possible? I want to believe that.”

“I always think of each night as a song. Or each moment as a song. But now I’m seeing we don’t live in a single song. We move from song to song, from lyric to lyric, from chord to chord. There is no ending here. It’s an infinite playlist.”

“Quirky.” Just cut to the chase and say,”Kat comes off as an empty, female-shaped shell occupied by a mustachioed British demon.”[x]
There`s nothing else I would rather do, unless there was a profession that involved cuddling bunny rabbits and kittens all day for money.

“I don’t take crap from anyone, so that makes people think I’m rebellious. I’m not. I’m just not a pushover.”
“Another reason why I wanted to do this movie is that it shows that you don’t just go get detoxed, and then go to rehab and you’re all better; it’s not like that. It’s something you’re going to have to do one day at a time for the rest of your life. I think it’s important for people to know that it’s okay to feel like you’re not better as long as you keep trying.” – Kat Dennings on filming ‘Renee’
“I always feel like it’s kind of a sexist thing to even bring up because it’s not like women just happened, you know? Women are some of the funniest out there. Carol Burnett, Cher, Fran Drescher—these women are comedy icons. Funny women are not a trend. It’s definitely not something new.”-Kat Dennings (Watch! Magazine) [x]
“I could definitely relate to being a total, psychotic (critic). I’m very impatient. I speak my mind at times when I probably shouldn’t, just sometimes to make myself laugh. Max has had to amuse herself and hold her own hand her whole life. I’ve had a very present family, but Max hasn’t. That’s a major difference. But I definitely relate to the survivor instincts that she has.”-Kat Dennings on her 2 Broke Girls character Max Black
We instantly connected. She flew in from Florida, where she was shooting an indie film, for my final audition. I was nervous and she took my hand before we walked in. We both grew up in Pennsylvania and have similar family backgrounds. She’s become one of my closest friends, if not my closest friend, right now - and that doesn’t happen often. The downside is that because we’re friends it’s harder to keep a straight face because now I know her so well I can see when she’s about to laugh and that makes me laugh.-Beth Behrs on her friendship with Kat Dennings
“I’d be shaking after we shot certain scenes. I’d be shaking for hours. I don’t think I’ve ever gone to those places emotionally in my life before. Just having complete emotional breakdowns day to day was really hard, and it’s really intense to go that far emotionally every day. It was very, very tiring, but so worth it.”-Kat Dennings on filming Renee
